He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist. And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence. Colossians 1:15-18

LET EVERYTHING THAT HAS BREATH PRAISE THE LORD! Psalm 150:6
Prayer/Question of the Week Usually posted Wednesday mornings....
5/14/2008 - Israel is 60 today! Pray for them, pray for the peace of Jerusalem, and pray for a speedy return of Christ!
I’ve been a Christian for a long time, but have been miserable lately. I wish I wasn’t alive. Can you tell me if thinking like this is sin? I’m really sorry about the difficulties you’re facing, but to put your despair into perspective, listen to the words of Jeremiah:
Cursed be the day in which I was born! Let the day not be blessed in which my mother bore me! Let the man be cursed Who brought news to my father, saying, “A male child has been born to you!” Making him very glad. And let that man be like the cities Which the LORD overthrew, and did not relent; Let him hear the cry in the morning And the shouting at noon, Because he did not kill me from the womb, That my mother might have been my grave, And her womb always enlarged with me. Why did I come forth from the womb to see labor and sorrow, That my days should be consumed with shame? Jeremiah 20:14-18
If a man chosen by God to be His prophet had such thoughts, then it is a lesson for all of us that our despair is not sin, but an opportunity to hold on to Christ even more firmly. In your distress, call on God to strengthen you. He truly will never leave you and he truly will never forsake you. If you or anyone else you know wishes to be on my Daily Bible verse list, all you have to do is send me an email address and I’ll add you on. It comes with a picture (hopefully matching the verse) in Word format as an attachment. Maybe this will be uplifting to you each day. I follow one book of the Bible at a time and am currently sending verses from Philippians. Let me know if you’re interested – slaveofchrist@wonderful1.com.

Here's a fun fact for you to consider as you enter - Did you know that the Hebrew word for Wonderful is Pela, which is Aleph spelled backwards? So He is Aleph (Alpha) and Pela (Wonderful)!
One note concerning this site, I've tried to highlight all passages from the Holy Bible inYELLOW. This is so you know what is right from the Good Book and what is my, or another's, analysis. If at anytime you read something I have written and you feel I error in the Scripture analysis, I would ask you to email me immeditely. I wish to never assume I have all the answers. My desire is to help you in interpreting God's word, not decieve. Thank you.

I've given this a lot of thought....what is the greatest moment in the history of the world? Was it the day God created man?
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. Genesis 1:27
No, as awesome as that moment was, we are a part of creation and God in His sovereignty saw past that moment and knew that with free-will, we would reject his authority.
The day God selected Abram and called him out to be the first Hebrew was astonishing in its implications:
The LORD had said to Abram, "Leave your country, your people and your father's household and go to the land I will show you.
"I will make you into a great nation and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing.
I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you." Genesis 12:1-3
In this, God gave a glimpse of the Glory to come and began to reveal it to a dying world. But this was not the moment above all moments.
The day God entered humanity....that was a surprise! How glorious that moment - so much so that the angels rejoiced...all creation was moved.
Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests." Luke 2:13,14
Yes..this was a real, a splendid turning point. But as awesome as it was, there was a greater one. There, there on Calvary's cross! Christ - God Incarnate - was sacrificed as the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the whole world. All of creation mourned at this moment. It was now about the sixth hour, and darkness came over the whole land until the ninth hour, for the sun stopped shining. Luke 23:44. How completely wonderful, how terrible, how glorious. I actually am weeping as I type this...I am humbled by that act. Our dear Lord and Savior stained the cross crimson for a punk like me...and the river still flows today - free for anyone who will bend his knee and ask! Because of this Love, I am freed from the horrible acts of rebellion which were my sure condemnation. This was the single moment on which all history turns and the point where access to God was restored. It is the defining moment of all history. And, coupled with this darkened moment is the bright and shining dawn when three days later our Lord rose in glorious splendor. Together these become the very point of our faith:
For if the dead are not raised, then Christ has not been raised either. And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins. Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ are lost. If only for this life we have hope in Christ, we are to be pitied more than all men. 1 Corinthians 15:17-19
And so, it is my belief that the greatest, the single greatest moments in all of history were the death, burial, and resurrection of our Lord. From the cross to the grave and then to that bright early morning after the dark, gloomy sorrow. May His name ever be praised! Hallelujah to God in the highest! Rejoice, again I say....Rejoice.
Here's a fun depiction of this moment in time for you to enjoy again and again:

...RISEN!
Matthew 28:6
And guess what? Another glorious day is coming soon. For those who believe, for those who will only acknowledge Him: According to the Lord's own word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left till the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. 1 Thessalonians 4:15-17
